My Skin Routine- Sunny
Aug 04, 2020
All of my life, I have been fortunate enough to have fairly good skin! It wasn’t until I moved to a drier area that I had to start thinking about skincare routines since I started cracking and breaking out more often than I had in my entire life. I was absolutely overwhelmed with the 10 step Korean skincare methods and didn’t even know where I should start and what to buy. And that’s when I came across these two amazing products.
I don’t know my exact skin type, but I have lived most of my life in a temperate climate, making my skin healthy and happy for the most part. After drying off my face with a nice fluffy towel, I take the Innisfree Olive Real Skin and tap it lightly onto my face. I’ll take a moment to wait and fan my face with my hands until my face is basically dry from the product. Then I take a blob of my Innisfree Olive Real Lotion and dab that all over my face. And I put some every day make up on and off I go!
This is such a light-weight lotion that makes me feel hydrated the ENTIRE day. Regardless of the location and humidity or dryness of the air, I can still use this product and feel virtually nothing due to its light-weight feeling hydrating abilities. I cannot thank this product enough in keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day!
Have you ever loved a product and stuck by it and then realized that you only had one tinyyyyy drop left? Well… That’s what happened to me and I was shocked because I didn’t have any back up of my favorite items. Fortunately, my friend was willing to drive me to a mall and I stumbled upon The Face Shop. With the lack of hydration on my face, I decided to take a gander and see what other options there were, even though I knew deep down that my heart would always love my former products. At first glance, I wasn’t too sure if I would like this product or not. I mean, floral scented skin care products, in theory, would be nice but then it can start making me feel nauseous or develop a headache. So, I took the sample bottle and sniffed the lotion. And to my surprise, it was a very subtle floral scent that didn’t overpower my senses and the way it felt on the back of my hand was lovely. It was nice and smooth and after some time thinking about it, I bought the skin and lotion together and was on my way home.
After using it for a few weeks, I realized that even though I wasn’t using my favorite bottles of skin care, this was pretty darn good at hydrating my face and making it seem supple. And because calendula is a calm and soothing scent, it didn’t give me a headache and felt light on my skin. I definitely recommend this product if you are into slight floral scents and have a way of getting this product!
I am fortunate and blessed to have pretty healthy skin naturally so I don't have the struggle that many people do with acne. However, that doesn't mean that I don't take care of my skin. I don't do the whole 10 step skincare routine that was all the rage a couple years ago, but I've been using toner and lotion since like the 6th grade and it probably paid off! I don't think it's necessary to have a bunch of different products to take care of you skin. So, as daunting as it is to delve into the skincare world (trust me, I understand), it is crucial to understand the importance of skincare and how proper care extends the health of your skin and keeps it looking fresh longer.
