Hey fellow skincare lovers! I have been asked to share my skincare routine with Unnie’s Skincare! I usually never talk much about skincare since makeup is more of my thing but if you’d like to check me out here is my Instagram!
My skin type is combo/oily and I have a very oily t-zone along with acne scars.
So I'll be honest, I don’t really do a 10 step Korean skincare routine maybe like 6 steps.
Here is my day time routine:
5.) Sunscreen (If I’m going outside)
Here is my night time routine:
1.) Cleansing balm or cleansing oil (only if I am wearing makeup)
2.) Foaming Cleanser
Step One: Cleansing
The cleansing balm that I am currently using is the Banila Zero Cleansing Balm! When it comes to cleansing I find that my most troubled areas are removing eyeliner and mascara from my eyes but this cleanser takes care of it all.
If you would like to opt for a cleansing oil the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil works wonders as well! It emulsifies when it is mixed with water and removes all that makeup!
Next step is to use a facial cleanser. I really enjoy using the Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleansing Oil for a double cleanse usually on a makeup day. This product is self explanatory, it starts off as an oil then as you work it into your skin along with some water it begins to foam.
For a regular cleanse usually in the morning I just reach for my Tony Moly Clean Dew Foam Cleanser. A little bit goes a long way with this product so a bottle lasts me awhile.
Step Two: Toner
In the mornings I use my Mamonde Rose Water Toner which is super hydrating and does not add a heavy layer on my skin because during the day I do not like to use heavy moisturizers.
At night I use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution which helps with my skin texture and uneven skin tone. It is also advised to use this toner at night and stay out of the sunlight. Be sure to use sunscreen during the day and wear a hat using this product.
Step Three: Essence
I use the COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Power Essence. It leaves my skin plump and moisturized without any type of heavy feeling.
Step Four: Serum
There are serums out there for every skin type or target area so be sure to make sure you are using what is right for you! I have been using the Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum to help with my dark spots.
Step Five: Moisturizer
Don’t leave out this step! Even if you have oily skin you must moisturize your skin. I have quite a few moisturizers that I switch out depending on how my skin feels but I will share what I reach
for the most.
For the day time I usually reach for my Mamonde Floral Hydro Cream. It’s a super lightweight gel texture moisturizer and is great to wear on a hot day or under makeup.
The other moisturizer I go for if my skin is feeling a bit more dry is the Belief True Cream Aqua Bomb. It is a gel cream and wow it really helps my thirsty skin. I use it at night as well.
The other moisturizer I go for if my skin is feeling a bit more dry is the . It is a gel cream and wow it really helps my thirsty skin. I use it at night as well.
At night time I use the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream for that extra heavy moisture. It leaves my skin so soft and moisturized until the morning!
I have been using the Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer which has SPF 15. It’s actually not that moisturizing at all which I prefer and it does not leave a white cast!
Bonus Skincare Products
I use Korean sheet masks from time to time when my skin needs an extra boost or if I want to have a self care day!
Maybe once or twice a week I will reach for my Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion. It really helps to unclog my pores from that weekly build up and my skin feels so fresh and soft after using this product.
This is personally what I like to do for my routine. You can do more or you can do less. It’s all up to you. I must say Korean skincare products have been life changing for me!
